Card making, Christian, Christmas, Christmas images, Christmas music, crafts
After yet the best part of another year lost to goodness knows what I’m giving up apologising for the current lack of content on here. I could blame time (the WORST offender by far), distraction (definitely a good 2nd) and health (thankfully not a major problem this year) but ultimately I just keep forgetting to put something up.
SO, while I try & get my spiritual thoughts into some cohesive state for a ‘proper’ blog post, I figured I’d just do my usual and share some of my cards from this year along with a couple of amazing Christmas songs to enjoy.
So cards first – unfortunately this year I somehow still haven’t managed to get caught up after last year’s wedding when I lost 2 months out of my Christmas card season, so I ended up having to do a lot more repeats than I normally like, and thus haven’t too many new designs to reveal. But hopefully you’ll enjoy what few are here.
Now on to music – I’ve only really listened to Paul Baloche an odd time before now, but his Christmas music is just superb! If you’ve not heard him before, have a listen to these offerings from his Christmas Worship Albums.
Then a nippy one from Chris Tomlin
And finally a quieter but all the more beautiful rendition of another favourite.
And given how fast time is still flying in, I would doubt my ability to get another post out this side of 2016, so all that remains is for me to thank you all for your faithful support in visiting, & wish you a truly wondrous & peaceful Christmas and a blessed 2016.
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince Of Peace. 7 Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his Kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with Judgment and with Justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this” (Isaiah 9:6-7).

Chris Tomlin, Christian, Christmas cards, Christmas music, handmade cards
Oh dear – another few months gone & I never got around to making a single post on here – oops. 😦 No real excuse this year either (unlike last!) – just haven’t had anything worthwhile putting up.
And even now – all I have to offer are some of this year’s cards & a couple of my fav songs for the season, but hope you won’t mind that.
Ok – cards first.
Only a small selection of the 400 odd I managed to produce this year – still a good 100 short but that was thanks to a rather important wedding (my wonderful brother’s) I had to do the cards for back in Aug & Sept – well worth the loss 🙂 Should you take a fancy to any of the above or would like any others created for you, feel free to check out my website for more – Gentle Touch Cards
And now for a couple of this year’s fav songs:
Instrumental but beautiful by Casting Crowns
Another take on the same song by Chris Tomlin
That’s it folks. Unlikely I’ll be on here again now before Christmas so all that remains me to do is to wish all my faithful followers a Peaceful & enjoyable Christmas celebration always remembering Jesus is the REAL reason for the season (as cliched as it sounds!) 🙂
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.”

Christian, Christianity, Christmas, God, Jesus
Christian, Christmas, God, Holiday, Jesus, Saviour
Yet another year has disappeared faster than I can understand looking back over it, but one I’m quite glad to get to this point in without any further hospital admissions since my last one last month, and with a vague hope that I might actually now manage to stay out a lot longer than before, I’m hopeful of at least seeing the year out from home!!
Goes without saying it’s had a major impact on my blog writing which has been almost non-existent through the year. However, if the Lord provides me the health I desire, I should hopefully pick up a bit through the coming year.
Today is the first major celebration in the Christian Calendar and always a joyous occasion into the bargain as we celebrate reconnecting to family & friends, and sharing gifts. There is much in the Season yet to remind us of its true meaning despite the ever increasing secularism of society.
May God bless you all as you celebrate the remainder of this wondrous time of year and I pray you all have a wonderful New Year next week too.

Christianity, Christmas, Christmas music
Caleb Collins, Chris Tomlin, Christian, Christmas music, Christmas songs, Phil WIckham
Apologies again at my lack of posts – still around, just ridiculously busy & distracted with the continuing Christmas Card season (I’ll be making them through to Feb no doubt). With all the hosp admissions I got way behind so have been spending every spare minute catching up to provide family/friends with their orders.
Anyway – thought since I don’t have time or ability to write a post just now (hand arthritis making typing painful) I’d just share some of this season’s best Christmas songs IMHO (prob actually last year’s songs but new ones to me!).
First off is Chris Tomlin’s Joy to the world.
Next: Phil Wickham: O Come, O come Emmanuel
Next: Richard Marx and his rendition of O Holy Night
Finally a superb one from Caleb Collins: Another equally excellent version of O Come, O Come Emmanuel – sadly this appears to be the only video providing the full song, but if you head to his website you can hear it on there at a better quality.
Caleb Collins has some other equally wonderful songs on his Christmas Album – check it out on his site http://www.calebcollins.com/music.html
Trust you all have a wonderful, peaceful & blessed Christmas & New Year. Hopefully next year will see me having a better time healthwise & able to write a bit more. Catch you all then!

Christmas, crafts, handmade cards
Given my circumstances of late, I’ve not had much time or indeed inclination to write on any really important topic, but hope to kick off again soon, so please stick with me if you’re one of my loyal followers as I truly appreciate your support.
But for now, I figure at least firing up some of my current stock of cards for this year will suffice to keep some of you at least interested enough to read on.
As ever, the season started early & it was again so strange to be making C. cards in the height of summer back in mid July. But I got into it easier this year than ever, and have been hard at it ever since, apart from some time out after losing my mum in August.
So here’s a little sample of my work for this year.

Christmas, Christmas music
carols, Christmas, julie andrews, michael w smith, music
There are only a handful of Christmas songs outside of the old & well worn ones that I would bother to advertise to the world as ones I truly believe anyone who has any spiritual appreciation of the meaning of the Season should have in their playlist.
The first 3 are by Michael W Smith – someone whose music I used to follow avidly but now rarely do, until I hear offerings such as these which get me fired up all over again:
Or if you prefer the more traditional – this version of Joy to the World by Julie Andrews is great. Unfortunately the video recording isn’t, but if you can find it in audio elsewhere, it’ll be more enjoyable to listen to.

Card making, Christmas, crafts
Christmas, crafts, handmade cards
Most of you regular visitors know I make my own cards as therapy for my multiple chronic pain conditions, and as family seem to manage to increase their needs every year I end up with some asking me for up to 100 cards. I don’t sell as such so am lucky if they donate something to my stock costs but more often it’s goods in kind or help in some other way. I don’t mind too much – the Lord provides for me to be able to make them & I’m grateful people like them enough to want.
